Today is the 15th of the 8th Lunar month.....which is Mid-Autumn Festival.....
Gong Gong and Po Po brought me to the celebration held at Downtown East.......

Homemade Lantern

We were supposed to make our own lanterns at home using recycled materials this year for the K2 level........
Mummy thought of the idea of using the plastic container, ang bao packets to decorate and parts from old battery operated lantern......
And.....tada......here's my homemade lantern (all thanks to Gong Gong who helped me in it)!

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Today's the actual day of the Mid-Autumn Festival (八月十五:中秋节)
On Sat, 10 Sep 11, Po Po & Gong Gong brought me to a celebration event at Pasir Ris... I had a lantern (the bigger one).... As for the 2 smaller ones (Rabbit & Tiger), I won them in the lucky draw including a pomelo... haha..

As I was absent from school the whole of last week and missed the Mid-Autumn celebrations last Wed, my teachers kept these for me and gave them to me today....

The lantern is from Wang Laoshi (She assisted me in making it) and the goldfish balloon is from Ms Chin....
Thank you very much, Ms Chin and Wang Laoshi!

Oh, I also missed Joseph's birthday celebration....... The goodie bag is from him....

Chinese Lantern Displays

Mummy took some pictures of me with the "Dog" (my Chinese horoscope) and the "Bridge" as I said I wanted to take pictures of the dolphins......

2 very kind tourists offered to help take photos of Mummy & me when they saw Mummy snapping pictures of me......... One is an old gentleman, and the other an old lady, both are foreigners...... Such a kind act to warm your heart & brighten your day! :)

Guess we will be heading down here again with Daddy to take more pictures of the other lantern displays........

My New Doraemon Lantern

Gong Gong & Po Po bought this for me today... :)

As we were coming back from lunch, we saw an uncle and his granddaughter with this cute little doraemon lantern that could blow bubbles as well.... You just need to switch on the lantern and pour in the bubble solution.... and the bubbles would appear..... ingenious design!

We asked the uncle where he bought from.... and it was at the shop besides 7 Eleven... so Gong Gong & Po Po brought me there to buy it.... It was not expensive at all, $4.90 only...

I also ended up with a yoyo.... hehe..
