Children's Day Celebrations...

We celebrated Children's Day in school today.......
All of us baked cookies to bring home for our parents.......We also received a goodie bag from the school........ :)

Let's see what I have!
Tada!

Proudly showing off the cookies I baked (with the help of my teachers of course!)

All my goodies for Children's Day......
A BIG THANK YOU to all the teachers and Mrs Wong, the principal! :)

Goodies from School....

Wed, 29 Sep 10

As I was absent from school the whole of last week and missed the Mid-Autumn celebrations last Wed, my teachers kept these for me and gave them to me today....

The lantern is from Wang Laoshi (She assisted me in making it) and the goldfish balloon is from Ms Chin....
Thank you very much, Ms Chin and Wang Laoshi!

Oh, I also missed Joseph's birthday celebration....... The goodie bag is from him....
Thank you and Happy Belated Birthday to you, Joseph!
So happy with all my goodies! :)

Grounded....

for the week due to my HFMD.....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Updates on my condition:
Sat, 18 Sep 10
My legs and arms are practically covered with little red bumps.......more than yesterday....
Otherwise, I'm like normal....... ;p
Sun, 19 Sep 10
The little red bumps are starting to go off..... not as many as yesterday......... guess it's running its course....
Gong Gong and Po Po are here to see me....... I still play as much as per normal... haha...
This morning, Mummy's happy to see that almost all the red bumps are gone!
Hope I will be certified well to return to school soon.........
Mummy called the school today to inform them of my condition and the principal, Mrs Wong, informed her that a certification from doctor to confirm that I'm clear of HFMD is required....
The doctor's really good.......he told Mummy I should be fine in a couple of days...... and it seems I'm well on the way to recovery........ :)
Thank you everyone for your concern and well wishes!
HFMD :(
Fri, 17 Sep 10
I had fever on Wed evening and Mummy gave me my fever medicine...
On Thur morning, I still have fever, so I didn't go to school.....
On Fri morning, I was fine with no temperature..... Mummy decided not to bring me to school as it was pouring heavily, and I had just recovered....
In the late afternoon, we were getting ready to go out...... Mummy saw that my hands & legs have lots of little red bumps.....so she decided to bring me to the doctor..... As these are not blisters, we didn't really suspect it to be HFMD.....
(There was a case of HFMD in my school on Mon, 13 Sep)
The doctor suspected it to be either fake measles or HFMD.... After checking that my rashes mainly appear on the hand (elbow, wrist) and leg (knee, foot) but nothing on the body and back, he confirmed that it's HFMD....
However, he said mine is a mild case, and I should be fine in a few days time.....
Nonetheless, I was still given a week MC from school.....
He gave me anti viral solution to take and a cream to apply on my rashes.....
Oh, the doctor also weighed me........ 16.4kg....
He told Mummy my weight is equivalent to that of a 5 year old.... :)
Do I look sick?? ;p
How my rashes look like....
Dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market
Thur, 9 Sep 10
Officially, Daddy's on half day leave today as tomorrow is Hari Raya, and his employer gives half day to all staff instead of just the Muslims..... but unofficially, he still worked until about 5pm (the time when Mummy & I reached his office)...
We had dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market....
Can you guess which meal is whose??
One eyed jack......... try again for another shot....
Mummy felt that it's too bright with flash on, so flash off....
Eyes half closed again..... Daddy actually took another picture with my eyes wide open.... but blur Mummy deleted the wrong one.... so here's bleary eyed me... haha @_@
Autumn Festival by the river...
Chinese Lantern Displays
Wed 8 to Wed 22 Sep 2010 @ River Promenade
Mummy took some pictures of me with the "Dog" (my Chinese horoscope) and the "Bridge" as I said I wanted to take pictures of the dolphins......
2 very kind tourists offered to help take photos of Mummy & me when they saw Mummy snapping pictures of me......... One is an old gentleman, and the other an old lady, both are foreigners...... Such a kind act to warm your heart & brighten your day! :)
Guess we will be heading down here again with Daddy to take more pictures of the other lantern displays........
