Year End Party - Goodbye my dearest Teachers and Friends...

Today's the last day of school for us........and our school's tradition is to have a party!
This year is Christmas theme where we sang Christmas songs.....

Mummy didn't join the party as she needed to go grocery shopping at NTUC....

When she came to fetch me, she brought along the camera and took some pictures...

All of us in K2C and K2D.....
Only Sean is missing.......

Say cheese.....

 With Mrs Chua...

With 钟老师.....

Taking pictures with all my friends........as most of us will be going to different primary schools next year..... I will miss them!!

My buddy Wei Ze..... He was my last year's partner...

With Leighlord and Si Ying.... I always see them at the bus stop when going home....

Linus, who is my partner this year...

My bff Sarah... We will be going to the same primary school but alas, not the same class...

With Pranavesh, Sarah and Hong Jing...

With Sylvester......

A parting shot with Natalie, she will be going to a different primary school..... How sad...
I told Mummy:"Natalie's very cute, I like her..."

My Principal

Mrs Wong.......

Thank you, Mrs Wong, for selecting me to present the speech........
My confidence has increased tremendously due to this experience....

Teacher-Parents Meeting

Fri, 9 Nov 12

Daddy's on leave today to attend the teacher-parents meeting....

After my speech presentation at the graduation ceremony, Mrs Chua is happy to tell Daddy and Mummy the last hurdle has been crossed......I am now more confident after going through the experience....
I am also a very good reader and have good oral presentation skills... :)
We were assessed on our reading progress by Mrs Wong (our principal), and Mrs Chua said Mrs Wong was very impressed by me *beams*...
However, I will have to practise more on my Maths as I take a longer time to grasp new concepts....oops...

As for Chinese, I am quite ok too according to 钟老师.....just that I tend to be more careless... a trait that Mummy has observed about me as well....
In the reading test, I was able to pronounce all the Chinese characters correctly and in the exact sound (hanyu pinyin has 4 different sounds)...

Mrs Chua told Daddy and Mummy I should be able to breeze through Primary 1 and possibly Primary 2 in my new primary school (based on feedback from parents of previous K2 students).... Let's hope it's true....
From Primary 3 onwards, it will be more stressful, as the school will be pushing us for the PSLE in Primary 6 *gasps*

91st Graduation Ceremony and Concert Part 2

Sat, 13 Oct 12

Ok, here comes the highlight for Mummy & Daddy.......
"Word of Thanks" Speech presented by me.......

Kudos to Daddy for guiding me on the intonation of the speech......and to Mummy for practicing with me everyday (almost)...... that I am able to deliver this speech today without any glitch.......
And not to forget, a BIG THANK YOU to my teacher, Mrs Chua, and principal, Mrs Wong, for giving me this opportunity.....
(Mummy's thoughts: She was really quite surprised when my teacher, Mrs Chua, approached her and asked if I can try doing the speech....... Another student from the morning session was chosen as well and we will then present the speech to both Mrs Chua and Mrs Wong, our principal, who will then choose one to be the speaker.... And tada! I was chosen by Mrs Wong......hehe...)

After the concert, Mrs Wong said to Mummy when she saw her at the lunch reception:"Ryan Chong is amazing! My teachers said I am so cruel to put him through such a long speech...."
She also came over to Daddy and me and said:"I am very very proud of you, Ryan.... You did so well...."
She also told Daddy & Mummy that this was a new speech done up by her this year, as for the past few years, it had been the same old speech....so she decided to come up with a longer speech this time....and she was glad I was able to pull it off so well......

91st Graduation Ceremony and Concert Part 1

Sat, 13 Oct 12

All ready to set off to The Salvation Army for our Graduation Ceremony and Concert....
On arrival, Daddy & Mummy have to help me put on the graduation gown and hat..... Then they will have to leave the room and wait outside the auditorium till it's time to go in......

Upon entering the auditorium, Daddy & Mummy were pleasantly surprised that they have been assigned to the first row right in the middle of the stage.......Wow!! Guess it must be because I will be presenting the "Word of Thanks" speech on behalf of my K2 friends........

Here we are, the K2 Graduating Classes........
Can you spot me??
Performing our Opening Song "Be Like A Tree"

Full Dress Rehearsal

Fri, 12 Oct 12

Today's our full dress rehearsal for tomorrow graduation concert....
This year, our graduation concert is held at The Salvation Army at Bishan, as the church auditorium is too small to accommodate all of us......
We will be performing gymnastics, showcasing what we have learned in our gym lessons......
Also, watch out for my speech! :) Yes!! I am chosen by Mrs Wong and my teacher, Mrs Chua, to present the English speech.......

Children's Day's Gifts...

Tomorrow is Children's Day and it's a school holiday.......:)
We received gifts from our teachers and the school today.........
Thank you, thank you, Mrs Chua, 钟老师, Mrs Poh and Mrs Wong, our principal!!

I received a gift from Mrs Poh who teaches us to sing songs.......as I drew her a card in school......
I proudly told Mummy only I received a gift from her.....hehe

Happy Birthday to you, Joseph!

Homemade Lantern

We were supposed to make our own lanterns at home using recycled materials this year for the K2 level........
Mummy thought of the idea of using the plastic container, ang bao packets to decorate and parts from old battery operated lantern......
And.....tada......here's my homemade lantern (all thanks to Gong Gong who helped me in it)!
