Down came the tree!! CRASH... BOOM...

Today, it rained heavily in the morning... It was really a heavy downpour... Daddy said it started at 6 plus... Mummy got woken up by the "patter patter" of the rain sound at around 7 plus just as Daddy was getting up to get ready for work....

They saw that the canal near our flat overflowed again (the last time it overflowed was on 28 Nov 07... check out my blog post on it)... To Mummy's horror, as she was staring at the flooded area, the tree just in front of our flat FELL DOWN with a loud crash!! There was actually a person walking near there at the time... luckily he/she was not injured... very very lucky person! Mummy was relieved to see the person walking away from the tree.. Wah...

Mummy took these pictures minutes after the tree fell.... think it was around 7.50am...

You can see the area around the opposite flats was flooded... It is actually Global Residence @ Tiong Bahru (a service apartment)...

Mummy and Daddy also saw this man staring out of his window and even venturing down the stairs.... but then got to return back to his house as he couldn't possibly walked through the flood in his office attire...

When I woke up at around 10am, the water had already receded..... Workers were also here to clear up the fallen tree... Sobs... no more tree outside my window for me to admire...
